Democrats Release Draft Platform
Committee Meets, Approves Draft
Party Platform Outlines Policies
Every four years, Democrats from across the country join together to craft our party's platform. This year, the platform was considered by the 2020 Platform Committee at its meeting on July 27, 2020, and was approved by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on August 4, 2020.
The 2020 Democratic Party platform is a comprehensive document that outlines the party's positions on a wide range of issues, including healthcare, education, the economy, and climate change. The platform is based on the principles of social justice, economic fairness, and environmental protection.
The platform includes a number of new and innovative policies, such as a plan to create a public option for health insurance, a plan to make college tuition-free for all students, and a plan to invest in clean energy jobs. The platform also includes a number of progressive priorities, such as a call for a $15 minimum wage, a call for comprehensive immigration reform, and a call for gun control.
The 2020 Democratic Party platform is a bold and progressive document that reflects the values of the Democratic Party and the priorities of the American people. The platform will serve as a roadmap for the party's agenda in the years to come.
